Edward Wilmot M.D of Chaddesden was physician to King George II and King George III.

Sir Henry Wilmot, born in Chaddesden, was awarded the Victoria Cross at Lucknow 1858.

Able Seaman Albert Anthony Biss was 1 of 3 sailors killed when HMS Victorious was attacked in the Pacific by two kamikaze bombers. He is buried in St Mary's Churchyard Chaddesden.
